WHO WE ARE
Brian Paul was raised in Mustang, Oklahoma. He served as a machine gunner and rifle platoon leader in the 45th Infantry; when the Murrah Federal building was bombed in an act domestic terrorism in 1995, he was deployed to the site and worked among other responders in the devastation, receiving the State Activation Medal and Humanitarian Medal.

Desiring to continue serving the public, Brian became a career Firefighter, as well as an EMT for eight years in the Kansas City area. He had a great marriage, beautiful home, and a career he loved.

Due mainly from the stress of emergency work, Brian began self-medicating by heavily drinking. Failing health led Brian close to death. His kidneys, liver and bone marrow became heavily damaged and were shutting down.
After a painful divorce, homelessness, and suicidal ideation, Brian finally entered a 90-day treatment program for addiction and Post Traumatic Stress.
Brian accredits his faith in God, his mother, and newfound purpose of helping others for saving his life and founded Veterans for Life USA to reach other who are still struggling.
